Penfield Library Challenge (August 26 - September 18)

Rules

Welcome to the Penfield Library Challenge!  The Challenge is a fun scavenger hunt which will introduce you to your new campus library.

  • Only new students entering Oswego in fall 2016 can play.
  • Visit the library and its web pages to complete as much of the scavenger hunt as you can.
  • Play as a team or individually. Please limit teams to 5 students.
  • The game closes on Sunday, September 18 at 11:59pm.
  • Win gift certificates! Earn extra points for creativity.
  • Contact michelle.bishop@oswego.edu with questions.

How to Play

  1. Download the free GooseChase app from iTunes for iPhones and Google Play for Android
  2. If you want to play as a team:
    • First, select a team captain & decide on a team username.
    • Open up the GooseChase app and sign up for an account with your team username (team captain creates the account & shares username & password with team members).
    • Continue to step 4.
  3. If you want to play on your own:
    • Open up the GooseChase app and sign up for an account.
    • Continue to step 4.
  4. Join any one of the “Penfield Library Challenge” games by searching “Penfield Library Challenge” from the games page within the app (there will be multiple games). Password=Penfield
  5. When a game is full, join another “Penfield Library Challenge” game (all games are the same).
  6. Start the hunt! Be creative and have fun getting to know Penfield Library and other new students.
    •  Bonus points will be awarded for creativity.
  7. Since multiple games are being played, someone else playing another game may have a higher score. So, don’t trust the leaderboards. Keep playing!
  8. Winners and prizes will be announced when final scores from all games are tallied.
