Opposing Viewpoints is a great source for information about current events, especially controversial ones. They provide a wide variety of sources on each topic - everything from opinion essays to scholarly articles. We recommend this source when you're having difficulty coming up with a topic. It's also a good tool if you already have an idea, but aren't sure what direction to take.

Online Encyclopedias & Dictionaries
The encyclopedias and other sources on this guide provide good overview information, including key search terms and often lists of more sources.
Because of its interdisciplinary nature, additional print sources on Global & International Studies can be found in a variety of call number areas of the first floor Reference Room. These areas include, but are not limited to the G's, H-HJ's, J's, K's, and other areas. Ask a librarian for additional help.
