TED 536: Hardy (Summer 2019)

Assignments 1 & 10

  • Here are a few ways to find technology education journals:
    • Many scholarly and professional journals are published by professional associations. You can find these journals by going to the association's website. Here are a few examples:
      • ITEEA (International Technology and Engineering Educators Association)
      • ASEE (American Society for Engineering Education)
      • CTETE (Council on Technology & Engineering Teacher Education)
      • ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) - the library has access to the ACM Digital Library
      • SME (Society for Manufacturing Engineering)
    • View this list of highly ranked education journals and look for titles that look appropriate
  • Once you've found a journal you want to use, Google the name of the journal. Journal homepages may look very different, but this doesn't usually indicate anything about the quality of the journal. The journal homepage should have information about what type of articles they publish, how often they publish, etc. Here are a few examples:
  • To find out which library database has articles from this journal, go to the library homepage and click Find a Specific Journal.

Search for your journal title, and click on the title if/when it comes up. Look for the section labeled View Online:
