Penfield Library Ambassadors

Penfield Library Student Ambassador Handbook

Professionalism

As a Library Ambassador, we ask that you represent Penfield in a professional manner. Please treat this opportunity just like you would a regular job. Some examples of professional behavior include:

  • Arrive at planned events/activities on time and prepared
  • Be respectful with your social media posts and comments
  • Be courteous with peers, faculty, staff, and community members
  • Do your best to provide guidance, but always refer questions to a program director if you don't know the answer. It's okay to say "I don't know right now, but I'll find out and get back to you!"

Social Media

Ambassadors are invited to create content about library services, events, or resources, and tag Penfield in the post.

Please review SUNY Oswego's Social Media Users' Guide, particularly the section on content strategy, before posting anything.

Have an idea but don't see an account for it? Let us know! We're open to establishing new accounts for your content. Some options might be creating TikToks about the library or creating study playlists on Spotify.
