What is OverDrive?
Northern New York Library Network's (NNYLN) Overdrive is a database of over 10,000 ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines. With NNYLN OverDrive you can:
- Borrow up to 3 items
- Place holds on 10 additional titles
What is Libby?
The free Libby app is the easiest way to access content from OverDrive. All you need to do is download the app and sign into our library using your SUNY Oswego credentials.
Just follow these simple instructions:
- Install the Libby app from the app store on your Android or iOS device.
- In Libby, select the option: Yes, I have a Library Card
- Next, select the Search For a Library option and search for Northern New York Library Network
- Search for SUNY College at Oswego in the list of libraries that belong to the Northern New York Library Network
- Click Next and allow it to sign in.
- You will be taken to the login page for SUNY Oswego sign in with your SUNY Oswego credentials which is your 'Library card'
How do I access OverDrive?
Many titles will display in Penfield Library's catalog. Search for a title and click the NNYLN Overdrive link in the View Online section of the record. You can also go directly to the NNYLN OverDrive website to browse for titles.

You will then be brought to the NNYLN OverDrive site where you can then read a sample or borrow the book

If you haven't already logged in, you will be directed to a page to select your institution

Then you will be directed to SUNY Oswego's sign on page. Use your campus credentials to log in.

You can view titles you have borrowed, renew, or return them in the My Account option in the upper right.
