Maker Services at the Library

Code of Conduct

Makerspace users are expected to follow all library rules and policies. See more about library rules and policies on the About the Library webpage.

The makerspace is open to people of every identity and group, and makerspace users are expected to treat each other with respect. No form of harassment will be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to unwanted physical contact, or inappropriate words/behavior that make others uncomfortable. If you have experienced or witnessed harassment, contact the campus Title IX Coordinator, Lisa Evaneski, (https://www.oswego.edu/title-ix/reporting-incident) and/or the Learning Technologies Librarian (sharona.ginsberg@oswego.edu), and we will take swift action to address the issue to the extent required by law and that you are comfortable with.

The makerspace and its equipment should only be used during open makerspace hours, Maker Events, or through special arrangement with the Learning Technologies Librarian. Do not use equipment when no one is there to provide guidance and supervision, unless you have made special arrangements beforehand.

Report all injuries, accidents, or broken tools immediately to the Makerspace Assistant or the Learning Technologies Librarian. A first aid kit is available if needed.
