About the Black Student Union

The Black Student Union of SUNY Oswego was founded in 1968. Since then, our mission has been to disseminate information concerning Black People by educating the campus community about our culture through weekly programs and events. We highlight the historical/modern contributions of Black People nationally and internationally, as well as provide support and encouragement to all black students, staff, faculty, and community members wherever they may need it. We invite all members of the Oswego community, regardless of ethnicity or nationality, to join us as we continue developing unity, pride, and leadership on our campus and beyond.
