Dissertations and Theses
Dissertations and theses are examples of original research completed for a higher degree. The following offer full text access for many dissertations and theses:
- ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Open (PQDT Open)
- Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (NDLTD)
- NDLTD also has a list citing where specific countries post open access dissertations and theses.
- EBSCO Open Dissertations formerly American Doctoral Dissertations(ADD)
- Open Access Theses and Dissertations
- Google Scholar
If full text access is not available, here are some options:
- Try requesting the item through our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service.
- Try going to the institutional repository for the institution that granted the dissertation or thesis and see if it can be accessed there. Ask a librarian for help.
- Try contacting the author directly.
- Purchase the item on the ProQuest website.
Finding theses completed at SUNY Oswego:
- Visit the Penfield Library Catalog, type in a keyword, and then click Dissertations under the Resource Type header on the left.
