Penfield Library Recycles! Throughout the library you will find bins with either Blue or Green tops. These are the recycling cans. Feeling confused about what can and cannot be recycled? Use this as a guide.
Paper
- School Paper (white and colored)
- Newspaper, Junk Mail, Cardboard, Catalogs, & Magazines
- Beverage Cartons (Milk, Juice, and Juice Boxes
- DO NOT RECYCLE Hard Cover Books, Napkins, Paper Plates, Tissue Paper, Soda & Beer Cartons or Construction Paper.
Plastic
- Plastic Bottles & Containers (With & Without numbers)
- Milk & Water Jugs
- Cottage Cheese, Yogurt & Pudding Cup Containers
- DO NOT RECYCLE Styrofoam Containers, Plastic Bags, Toys, Motor Oil Bottles, Prescription Bottles or Clothes Hangers
Metal
- Food & Beverage Cans
- Deposit Cans
- Aluminum Foil
- aluminum Plates & Trays
- Metal Lids
- DO NOT RECYCLE Metal-cardboard Containers (cocoa & motor oil), Clothes, Hangers, Silverware, or Small Appliances.
Glass
- Green, Amber & Clear Containers
- Deposit Bottles
- Food & Beverage Containers
- DO NOT RECYCLE Broken Glass, Drinking Glasses, Ovenware or Ceramics, Dishes, Mirrors, Window Glass or Light Bulbs
