Adding Video

You will need to upload your video to a video service like Youtube before embedding it in your blog. Create a new or use an existing gmail account (not your Oswego account) to upload your videos to Youtube.

Create Your Group Blogs

Creating Wordpress.com Account

  1. Go to wordpress.com
  2. Set up new account with the free plan.
  3. Choose a free wordpress.com address.
  4. Play around with the free blog theme options.

Inviting Team Members to Contribute to Group Blog

  1. Team leader log in to your account
  2. Select "My Sites"
  3. Scroll down to People (click on Add)
  4. Enter emails & assign roles to team members (Team leader=Administrator, Team members=Editors)
    • Team members must share Wordpress email with team leader
    • Team leader must add a Writing Tutor as Administrator

Adding a Blog Post

  1. Log in to wordpress.com
  2. Go to "My Sites" on the top left.
  3. Scroll down to add blog posts on the left.

Adding Media

  1. Add your blog post.
  2. Find the media icon on upper left to upload or link images, audio, videos, and documents.
